The purpose of this research is to provide insight in the correlation between variables that influences physical activity in human beings.This knowledge can be used to design an effective intervention to stimulate physical activity. The main question in this research is: “Which influence has motivation on the relationship between self-efficacy and physical activity?”. The variables were measured with validated questionnaires, which were filled out online. Participants (N = 236) were invited by an invitationletter. The age was between 18 – 55 years. The main question was answered using multiple regression analyses. The research does not find a significant relationship between self-efficacy and physical activity. Motivation has no influence on this relationship.
